I came across the book ' Dzieci z Bullerbyn' in primary school. Although it was the obligatory reading, I found it very enjoyable. The story is about the children from Sweden who live in 3 different pens and everyday experience new ' life adventures'. They spend time swimming on the lake and searching for treasures on the nearby island. They also play games and create new ideas how to survive the next day intensely. Lisa is the main narrator who introduces us in this small child's life, what makes every kid a participant in this literary world. I associate this book with child freedom, problems which now seem to be funny, but in the past were terryfing and extremely huge for such small children.
It's nice to come back to these days, full of happiness and small worries... :)
